The Assessor's office is open Monday-Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm excluding all major holidays.

The county Assessor is elected by the citizenry of Lake County to provide a fair and honest assessment, or appraisal, of all Lake County property, and to provide a friendly service to the citizenship. Your County Assessor is Miguel Martinez and he may be contacted at (719) 486-4110. 

The Assessors office employs five people, including the Assessor. Our goal is to serve the people of Lake County with outstanding customer service. The information contained herein will be regularly maintained for your benefit. Your comments and suggestions are encouraged as we will continue to enhance this websites features.  2017 Commercial Protest Information

If you as a commercial property owner or as an acting agent for a commercial property have questions regarding your COMMERCIAL property's value for the 2017 tax year, you may set up an afternoon appointment with our commercial appraisers from Value West on Monday May 8, 2017 or Monday May 22, 2017 by calling 719-486-4110. Limited appointment times are available and must be made prior to the appointment day, walk-ins will not be accepted. They will also be available by appointment only for a telephone meeting from 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. each Wednesday in the month of May. You can schedule a telephone meeting by going to http://www.meetme.so/assessor.
