            PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to Section 1-5-205, C.R.S., that a General Election will be held in Lake County on Tuesday, November 8, 2016.

Applications for mail-in ballots may be made in person at my office located at the Lake County Courthouse, 505 Harrison Avenue, Leadville, Colorado 80461, during normal business hours, Monday, through Friday, holidays excepted; by fax sent to my office (719) 486-3972 or by mail addressed to me at P. O. Box 917, Leadville, Colorado 80461.  Regardless of the method selected for requesting a mail-in ballot, all requests for mail-in ballots, must be received in my office by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, October 31, 2016 if the ballot is to be mailed and by Friday, November 4, 2016 if the ballot will be carried.  Mail-in ballots must be returned to my office in the Lake County Courthouse no later than 7:00 p.m. on November 8, 2016.

The following is a full and complete list of all officers to be elected the proposed constitutional amendments and laws as certified to the Colorado Secretary of State and the officers, ballot issues and questions as certified to me:

The Voter Service and Polling Center will be open in the foyer of the Lake County Courthouse, 505 Harrison Avenue, Leadville, Colorado from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. beginning October 24, 2016 and ending November 7, 2016, excluding Sunday’s.  Saturdays, October 29, 2016 and November 5, 2016, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

            The General Election will be held in the lawful polling place designated as a Voter Service and Polling Center.  All precincts will vote at the Voter Service and Polling Center at the Lake County Courthouse foyer, 505 Harrison Ave., Leadville, CO 80461. The Voter Service and Polling Center will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on November 8, 2016, General Election day.


ADA accessible voting machines are available at any VSPC.

Commissioner Candidate District 2, Sarah Mudge's party affiliation was incorrectly listed on the ballot. Sarah Mudge is the Democratic Candidate for County Commissioner District 2. The County Clerk apologizes for this error. Because this is an uncontested race, this error does not threaten the integrity of the election.
