Family Planning Program

The Family Planning program at Lake County Public Health Agency provides education and services to clients of any age and gender.  Parental permission is not needed for this program.  We offer the tools and skills needed to plan well-timed, intentional pregnancies.  In addition, we offer many different birth control methods and educational services. 

All of our services are provided on a sliding scale depending on income.  We also bill most insurances.  

All services are CONFIDENTIAL

The Family Planning Program Provides the Following:

Individual counseling on contraception, healthy relationships, pregnancy options, preconception, and other topics as needed by clients.

Contraceptive methods:  various type of pills, IUC's, Depo shot, Nuva Ring, and Implants.


Emergency contraception (Plan B) - good for 120 hours after unprotected sex.


HIV testing with results in 15 minutes!


STI testing (Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, and Syphilis).


Well Women Exams - Every 3rd Tuesday of the month (must have appointment)


Nutrition Information.


HPV and other Vaccines.


Condom Dispensing.


Care management for children with health related needs.


Medicaid and CHP+ review.

Clinic Hours:

Tuesdays through Fridays from 8:30 - 5:30pm.

(we appreciate appointments, but walk-in appointments are also available)
