Join Lake County Recreation and RE/MAX Aspen Leaf Realty as we gear up for another summer of movie magic! Ice Palace Park will once again become a family-friendly outdoor cinema for six fun Friday nights this summer. We have 6 great films picked out, so stay tuned for an exciting 2018 season and schedule announcement!

Join us at Federico Field for a non-competitive track meet where kids can apply their new skills and celebrate their achievements. Events held will be 100, 200, 400, long jump, triple jump, hurdles and shotput. Pre-registration is not required and can be done the day of the event.

Join us for this free challenge sponsored by the Denver Nuggets and CPRA. Youth ages 7-14 are invited to compete in dribbling, shooting and passing to see who's got what it takes! First place boys and girls from each age group and division will win the chance to advance to the sectional and state finals. For questions or more details please contact the Recreation Department.

Lifeguard Training ClassIMG_0792.JPG
This course will give you all the certifications necessary to become a professional lifeguard: American Red Cross Lifeguard Training, CPR/AED and First Aid. Certifications are good for two years.

The following skills must be performed BEFORE participants are allowed in the Lifeguard training class:
  • Swim 300 yards using the front crawl, breaststroke, or a combination of both.
  • Tread water for 2 minutes using only your legs.
  • Retrieve a 10 pound brick in 12-foot deep water without assistance and without goggles.
