Ice Rink & Dutch Henry
The Huck Finn Ice Rink is currently CLOSED! Ice making has started!
Located at the intersection of 5th and Leiter, the ice rink is open from December to March; weather permitting. The facility features skate rentals, a snack bar, warming hut and a great sound system. The rink is open from 3:30 - 9pm daily, conditions permitting. For more information on the rink please call 719-486-7484, 7494 or 7486. Click HERE for a current facility schedule. Those who own their own skates may skate for free at any time the facility is closed!
Come and join the Lake County Recreation family to celebrate the 2016-17 ice rink season with a Chili Cook Off. Contestants will register with the Recreation Department by December 14 to enter their chili in the Saturday cook-off. We will also be grilling, so bring the whole family to join in the fun. More details coming soon!

Located at the intersection of McWethy and Highway 24, the sledding hill is open from December to March; weather permitting. The facility features tube rentals, FREE sledding for tube owners and a small warming hut. The hill is open from dawn to dusk daily, conditions permitting. How do I know when the hill is open?
Call the Dutch Henry phone at 719-427-0099, the Recreation office at 719-486-7484 or read the signage at the facility.
Do I have to use a tube?
No. You may use a plastic sled. Toboggans and sleds with metal runners are prohibited.
Can I still use the old sledding hill?
No. The previous sledding hill (the west side of Dutch Henry) is now owned by the Cloud City Ski Club and sledding is prohibited.
Can I enter the tubing are from the college road, or from the campus of CMC?
No. You may only enter from the bottom of the hill. Please use the parking area off Highway 24.
