Lap The Lake
With course elevations ranging from 9,650 to 10,800 feet this could well be the highest road bike race in the United States. This challenging race consists of 1 lap (22 miles) or 3 laps (50 miles) around the scenic Turquoise Lake paved road. Prepare yourself for demanding ascents, challenging descents and non-stop turns while enjoying the breathtaking course lined with blue spruce, aspen, lodge pole pine and various species of wildlife.

The Course

3 Laps = 50 Miles
Elevation: Ranges from 9,650 to 10,800 feet
The course will be well supervised with race personnel; however it will be open to automobile traffic.

Divisions & Awards
Awards will be presented to the top three overall male and female finishers as well as the top finisher in each 10 year age group for the 50 mile division. The top two overall male and female finishers for the 22 mile division will receive an award as well as the top finisher in each 10 year age group. Each participants age for awards will be determined by their age on December 31, 2012. All participants will be eligible for awesome giveaways after the race.
Times & Directions
The race begins at 9am on Saturday, June 23 at the Lake County Swimming Pool. Registration and packet pick up begins at 7am. From I-70, take the Copper Mountain exit. Drive south on Highway 91 to Leadville (28 miles). Highway 91 becomes Harrison Avenue in Leadville. Turn right on 6th and drive to 1000 W. 6th Street. The Swimming Pool will be on your right and is attached to the Lake County Intermediate School.
