Lake County Aquatic Center

Located within the Middle School building at 1000 West Sixth Street, the Lake County Swimming Pool is one of Leadville's premier recreation facilities. With 25-yard lap lanes, a dry sauna, hot tub, diving board, Aqua Climb, and large shallow play area, the pool has something for everyone. The water temperature is kept at a warm 85 degrees to encourage long and happy visits. Swim lessons, water aerobics, and many other special programs are held on a regular basis. See our online pool calendar, or contact the pool front desk (719-486-6986) for current information. Click HERE for a current facility calendar.

Due to ongoing lifeguard shortages the Aquatic Center will be closing at 5:30pm on 5/18, closed from 2-8:00pm on 5/26 & 5/27 and closed from 3-8:00pm on 5/28. Additional June closures are anticipated so please continue to check the website before visiting us. We are currently hiring lifeguard candidates and providing training on a rolling basis. Interested parties should contact Judy at 719-427-7892.

The sauna is still closed due to melted heat contactors, which is a fire hazard! The electricians are working hard to get this corrected and we hope to have the sauna vendor up to help early next week. We do not have an anticipated re-opening date at this time and appreciate your patience.
