Senior Services Home Page

The Lake County Senior Center offers a variety of senior services, programming and volunteer opportunities as well as rental space for meetings and special events.
Services currently provided by the Senior Center include:

  • Meals on Wheels and Congregate Meals on Tuesday, Wednesday and Fridays at noon (suggested donation of $2 for ages 60+ OR $11.60 meal for all guests under the age of 60). Reservations should be made by 9:00am by calling Loretta at 719-486-1774. 
  • Potluck, with a main dish provided by the Senior Center on the first and second Thursday of the month at noon. Please bring a dish to share!
  • Transportation to and from doctor's appointments as well as to run errands Monday - Thursdays (by appointment only)
  • A food bank that is available to all senior members of the community
  • Food commodities that are available to qualifying seniors in Lake County
Area Agency On Aging 
Janice Brunner the Senior Services Coordinator from the Area Agency on Aging (located in Salida) will now be visiting Leadville on the third Tuesday of every month to answer questions about AAA programs and services and assist in filling out forms to get folks registered. Click HERE for a list of programs. Janice will be at the Huck Finn Ice Rink Building from 9:15 - 11:30am and the Senior Center from 12-1:30pm. Questions, contact Janice at 719-539-3341. Next Visit: Tuesday, January 16, 2018

Activities and amenities currently provided by the Senior Center include:

  • Pool table & jigsaw puzzles
  • Bingo
  • Television with cable, internet and a Wii 
  • Trips to Blackhawk

January 15 - Avalanche Game, $19 - RSVP to Loretta at the Senior Center

Interested in getting involved? 

The Senior Board meets the second Monday of every month at 10:00 am and all are welcome!
