The Lake County Senior Center offers a variety of senior services, programming and volunteer opportunities as well as rental space for meetings and special events.   Please contact the Aging Well Coordinator for more information at 719-427-7417 or email:  
Senior Center services currently being provided include: 
  • Meals on Wheels and Grab & Go Meals on Tuesday, Wednesday and Fridays at noon (suggested donation of $3 for ages 60+ OR $11.00 meal for all guests under the age of 60). Reservations should be made by 9:00am by calling Loretta at 719-486-1774. 
  • Transportation to and from medical appointments.  Monday - Friday (by appointment only).  Call Judy for availability at 719-486-1774.  We transport anywhere in Lake, Chaffee, Eagle & Summit Counties.  At least a 24 hour notice is required for Lake County appointments and 48 hours for appointments in Chaffee, Eagle & Summit Counties.  Not all appointments can be accomodated due to driver unavailability or scheduling conflicts.  
  • Food commodities are available to qualifying seniors in Lake County.  Please call the Senior Center for more information and to sign up.

Activities and amenities currently provided by the Senior Center include:

  • Lunch & Learn Series:  on hold during COVID-19 restrictions.
  • Pool table & puzzles
  • Cable Television 
  • Free Wi-Fi:  bring your own tablet, ipad or computer..  
  • Trips to Blackhawk (monthy)  Next Trip:  On hold until COVID restrictions are lifted.  Bus leaves at 7:30 a.mCall Clo for more information and to reserve your seat:  719-486-1170.  $5 Excursion Fee.
  • Safeway Shopping & errands in Lake County every Wednesday at 1:00;  Call 486-1774 to be picked up.
  • Walmart & lunch in SalidaThursday, July 23, 2020.  Van leaves the Senior Center at 9:00.  Call for a ride and to sign-up.
Upcoming Events or Excursions:
Silverthorne Shopping (Target, City Market, & Lunch):  On hold until COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.   Bring lunch money.  No excursion fee.  
‚ÄčNext Brunch (Grab & GO):  Thursday, July 9th & 16th,  2020.  10:30.  $2 recommended donation.  Please RSVP.  
Next Coffee Cafe:  Closed until further notice.  The Coffee Cafe is a chance to socialize with others, have coffee and cake, create a craft, or use our free Wi-Fi.  
The Senior Advisory Council meets quarterly and all are welcome!  We meet the 4th Thursday of each quarter.

Area Agency On Aging 
Janice Brunner the Senior Services Coordinator from the Area Agency on Aging (located in Salida) will now be visiting Leadville on an as needed basis to answer questions about AAA programs and services, and to assist in applying for & qualifying for services.  Click HERE for a list of programs.  Questions, contact Janice at 719-539-3341.
