Senior Services Home Page

The Lake County Senior Center offers a variety of senior services, programming and volunteer opportunities as well as rental space for meetings and special events.
Services currently provided by the Senior Center include: 
  • Meals on Wheels and Congregate Meals on Tuesday, Wednesday and Fridays at noon (suggested donation of $2 for ages 60+ OR $11.00 meal for all guests under the age of 60). Reservations should be made by 9:00am by calling Loretta at 719-486-1774. 
  • Breakfast served at the Senior Center:  3rd Thursday of the month from 8-9:00 a.m.   Next Breakfast:  November 15, 2018.  $2
  • Transportation to and from doctor's appointments.  Monday - Fridays (by appointment only).  Call Judy for availability 719-486-1774.
  • A food bank that is available to all senior members of the community
  • Food commodities are available to qualifying seniors in Lake County
Area Agency On Aging 
Janice Brunner the Senior Services Coordinator from the Area Agency on Aging (located in Salida) will now be visiting Leadville on the third Tuesday of every month to answer questions about AAA programs and services and to assist in filling out forms to get folks registered. Activities and amenities currently provided by the Senior Center include:

  • Lunch & Learn SeriesNext TopicThursday, November 8, 2018 at 11:30 a.m.  at the St. Vincent Hospital (front lobby).  If clement weather, lunch will be served at the Senior Center.  Tours of the hospital will start after lunch.  Come see the ER, ambulance, inpatient unit and hear about the Swing Bed and Respite Care Program.
  • Pool table & jigsaw puzzles
  • Television with cable, internet 
  • Trips to Blackhawk (monthy)  Next Trip:  Monday, November 12, 2018.  Bus leaves at 7:30 a.m.  Call Clo for more information and to reserve your seat:  719-486-1170.
  • The Senior Center will be closed for the Congregate Meal on November 27, 28 and 30, 2018.

The Senior Advisory Council meets the second Monday of every month at 10:00 am and all are welcome!
