MISSION STATEMENT
It shall be the mission of the Lake County Sheriff’s office to provide a safe environment for all people who reside in or visit Lake County. Members of the Lake County Sheriff’s office will abide by the constitution of the United States of America, the Laws of the State of Colorado, Lake County resolutions and the policies of the Lake County Sheriff’s office. The members of this office will treat every person with respect and dignity. Members of this office will answer all calls for service with diligence and a professional demeanor. Members of this office will seek out all violations of law that they have jurisdiction over take reasonable enforcement action based on their knowledge of those same laws and what the people of this community expect from their law enforcement agency. Each member of the Lake County Sheriff’s office shall foster a feeling of cooperation with the people of this community by understanding that each person has different concerns and experiences but this must be tempered with the job that the members of this agency were sworn to do. Members of the Lake County Sheriff’s office will take pride in themselves, their community and the profession that they have chosen.
